Do y’all know that song? I don’t remember much from being little, but I remember my parents loving Ray Stevens and my mom finding every opportunity she could to weave “it’s me again Margaret” into casual conversation, which she’d quickly follow up with some corny line about Atomic Fireballs. It’s funny the random things we remember.
Anyway, I spent the last several weeks doing all the things I’d hoped I would never do again…working crazy hours, accepting random freelance, eating at McDonalds (twice a day, every day – nobody gives up the Big Mac for life) and putting the things I “have” to do before the things I want to. Bleh.
Here’s what I learned…
Things are ALWAYS easier said than done.
As long as I stay in Direct Sales, summers will belong to someone else.
Freelance is like prostitution; quick, easy, non-committal cash most often earned in the wee hours.
I love this blog. I love that it makes me read better and eat better and think better than I do without it.
In the words of that crazed round lady from Poltergeist… I’m baaack! Thanks for staying tuned.
